മധുരമായിരുന്നില്ല  ഈ പതിനേഴ് - രണ്ടായിരത്തിപ്പതിനേഴു 

വിടപറയുന്ന വർഷത്തിനോട് പരിഭവം എന്തിനു? എല്ലാവര്ഷങ്ങളെയും പോലെ കുറെയധികം കയ്പ്, കുറച്ചു മധുരം , അങ്ങിനെ  ഇതും കടന്നു പോകുന്നു.

എങ്കിലും അല്പം വർഷാന്ത വിചാരങ്ങൾ പങ്കിടട്ടെ:

നവംബറിന്റെ വലിയ നഷ്ടം അവസാനദിനത്തിലാണെത്തിയത്. ഓഖി ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ്.

കടലിന്റെ യും കാറ്റിന്റെയും താണ്ഡവത്തിൽ  ജീവൻ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ കണക്കിൽ തർക്കം തുടരുന്നു. ജീവിതം തകർന്ന കുടുംബങ്ങൾ, അവരുടെ കുട്ടികൾ, ആവശ്യം നൽകേണ്ട സഹായം, തുടർന്നുള്ള സഹായത്തിന്റെ പദ്ധതികൾ- ഇവയൊക്കെയല്ലേ കണക്കോടെ , കരുണയോടെ, കരുതലോടെ ഇനി ശ്രധ്ധിക്കേണ്ടത്?

സുനാമി ദുരിതാശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ കഥ ആവർത്തിക്കരുത്. മധ്യതിരുവിതാകൂറിന്റെഇടനാടുകളിലും മലയടിവാരത്തിലുമായി സുനാമി ഫണ്ട് ഒഴുകിയ ചരിത്രം ആവർത്തിക്കില്ല എന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം.

കടലിന്റെമക്കൾക്കു സഹായത്തിനും കടൽത്തീരത്തിനു സുരക്ഷക്കും ഫലപ്രദമായി, കാര്യക്ഷമമായി  സഹായ ഫണ്ട്

പക്ഷെ, മദ്യവില്പന മാത്രം കുറഞ്ഞില്ല, കൂടിയെന്ന്  കണക്കുകൾ. നാം എങ്ങോട്ടു എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചുപോയി. ഉത്തരം ആര് തരും.?

ആലിംഗനവിവാദം, സാമൂഹ്യമാധ്യമങ്ങളിലെ വ്യക്തിഹത്യകൾ, സിനിമയും രാഷ്ട്രീയവും പണാധിപത്യത്തിലും പേശീബലത്തിലും കുടുങ്ങി, ഒന്ന്  പിടയുക പോലും ചെയ്യാതെ, ഇഴഞ്ഞുനീങ്ങുന്ന കാഴ്ച.

വർഷത്തിന്റെ അവസാനദിവസം സർക്കാരിന്റെ രണ്ടു ചെയ്തികൾ കലക്കി..

 മന്ത്രിമാർ  സാമൂഹ്യമാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ ഇരച്ചുകയറാനുള്ള  നിർദേശവും, അവർക്കെല്ലാം ലൈക്കടിക്കാനുള്ള ഭരണനടപടിയും.  മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ പ്രതിവാരചാനൽ

പരിപാടിയുടെ അരങ്ങേറ്റം.

ആകട്ടെ, ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.

  സാമൂഹ്യമാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ, ഔദ്യോഗികമായി    ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ലൈക്കുകൾ

പ്രവഹിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും ,  അങ്ങനെ നമുക്ക് ആശ്വാസം നൽകട്ടെ.

കേന്ദ്രവും, മറ്റു പലസംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാറും  ഇതൊക്കെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യുകയല്ലേ, അപ്പോൾ  , നാം പിന്നിലാകരുതു. അതെ പാതയിൽ തന്നെ നാം മുന്നോട്ടു. നാമും, മുന്നോട്ടു പോകട്ടെ.

'മാധ്യമം തന്നെയാണ് സന്ദേശം' ,  മക്‌ലൂഹൻ  അത്  പറഞ്ഞത്  ഒരു നിരീക്ഷണമായിട്ടു. അതൊരു കര്മപരിപാടിയായി ഏറ്റെടുത്തുകൊണ്ട്, നമ്മുടെ ഭരണകർത്താക്കൾ സായൂജ്യം 

തേടുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാണ് രാജ്യത്തെമ്പാടും.

ഡെലിഗേറ്റ് പാസ് കിട്ടാൻ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറിന്റെ മുൻപിൽ പലവട്ടം തപസ്സിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണ പോലെ കിട്ടാതെ പോകരുതെന്ന് കരുതി.

നവംബറിന്റ നഷ്ടവും നേട്ടവും

നവംബർ   പതിനഞ്ചാം തീയതി കേരളം രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ അവിസ്മരണീയം തന്നെ, അന്നത്തെ മന്ത്രിസഭായോഗത്തിനു ഭരണാഘടനാപരമായി നിലനില്പുണ്ടോ എന്ന ചോദ്യം നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു, ഹൈക്കോടതി യോഗ്യനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ മന്ത്രി പങ്കെടുത്തതും, പങ്കെടുത്തതുക്ഒണ്ടുനാലുമന്ത്രിമാർ വിട്ടുനിന്നതുമായ മന്ത്രിസഭായോഗത്തിനു ഭരണാഘടനാവയ്വിഅസ്ത അനുസരിച്ച് സാധുത ഉണ്ടോ.
ഈ മന്ത്രിസഭായോഗത്തിലാണ് ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിലെ നിയമനങ്ങൾക്ക് നിലവിലുള്ള സാമുദായിക സംവരണതത്തെ  അല്പം കൂടി വര്ധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സാമ്പത്തികമായി പിന്നോക്കം നിൽക്കുന്ന ഉന്നത സമുദായക്കാർക്കു പത്ത് ശതമാനം സംവരണം ഏർപ്പെടുത്താൻ തീരുമാനമെടുത്തത്. മറ്റു നിയമങ്ങളിലും അതുപോലെ സംവരണം ഏർപ്പെടുത്താൻ  കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാരിനോട് ശുപാർശ ചെയ്യാനും നിശ്ചയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നാണ്  റിപ്പോർട്ടും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞതും,
കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നുനാലു ദശകങ്ങളായി കേരളരാഷ്ടട്രീയവീക്ഷണത്തെയും ഭരണവ്യവസ്ഥയെയും ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വികലമായ ന്യൂനപക്ഷപ്രീണനത്തിന്റെ കത്രികപ്പൂട്ടിൽ നിന്നു മോചനം നേടാനുള്ള നീതിയുക്തവും ധീരവുമായ നിലപാടാണ് ഈ തീരുമാനം.
സാമുണ്ടായികസംവരണത്ഇന്റെ മേലവിലാസത്തിൽ സ്വന്തം സമുദായങ്ങങ്ങളെ  മയാക്കിവച്ചും രാഷ്ട്രീയപാർട്ടികലെ  സൗകര്യം പോലെ പ്രലോഭിപ്പിച്ചും ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തിയും വിരാജിച്ചിരുന്ന സാമുദായിക നേതാക്കളുടെ നീരാളിപ്പിടുത്തത്തിൽ നിന്നു മാറി ചിന്തിക്കാൻ തയ്യാറായ ഈ സർക്കാർ
അഭിനന്ദനം അർഹിക്കുന്നു.
 അവർ ഇതിനെ എതിർക്കാൻ വരുമെന്ന് തീർച്ചയാണ്, സാമൂഹ്യനീതിയെന്നത് ഏതാണ്ടൊരു ആകാശക്‌സുമം ആണെന്ന മട്ടിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഏതാനും ബുദ്ധിജീവികളും ഇതിനെ എതിർക്കാനിറങ്ങും.
സൗകര്യപൂർവം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ചില സ്ഥിതിവിവരക്കണക്കുകളും അവർ നിറത്തും,

അഗ്രഹാര ങ്ങളിലും ഇല്ല ങ്ങളിലും എണ്ണമറ്റ നായർ കുടുംബങ്ങളിലും കടുത്ത സാമ്പത്തിക ദുരിതം അനുഭവിച്ചഉകഴിയുന്നവരെ കാണാൻ ഇവർ ഇരു കൂട്ടർക്കും കഴിയുന്നില്ല.

നവേമ്പർ  പതിനാഞ്ചിലെ മന്ത്രിസഭായോഗം നിയമാക്കുരുക്കിലോ മറ്റോ വീഴുമോ എന്നൊരു സന്ദേഹമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, അതിനെ  റഹ്ദ് ചെയ്യുകയും അന്നത്തെ അജണ്ട അടുത്ത അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പ്രത്യേക യോഗത്തിൽ വച്ച് പാസ്സാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഉചിതമായിരിക്കില്ലേ.

അഭിനന്ദിക്കുന്നു, വിവേകപൂർവ്വമായ സാമൂഹ്യവീക്ഷണത്തിന്റെയും നീതിബോധത്തിന്റെയും പാതയിലേക്ക് കേരളം ചലിച്ചു തുടങ്ങട്ടെ.

Any one who observes cleanliness, decently dresssed, wishing and willing to imbibe that sublime mileu,, and not interfering with the systems and procedures inside the temple should be permitted Darsan. Of course, these are not testable or attestable or even declarable attributes, that can be procedurally insisted. Let us trust a person seeking a Darsan,
if he satisfies requirements of dress, cleanliness, and non-disruption of the solmnity of the temple

Seen in this context Minister Kadakampally Surendran's visit to Guruvayoor temple need not evoke a controversy. The permission given to K.J.Yesudas to do Darsan at Padmanabhaswamy Temple is heartening too.

ഓണത്തിൻറെ   ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ

 ഇക്കൊല്ലത്തെ ഓണം അങ്ങിനെ കഴിഞ്ഞു. സർക്കാർ വക ഓണം ഘോഷയാത്രയോടെ ഇന്നവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഈ നിർജീവ ഫ്ളോട്ടുകൾക്കു  ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് രൂപയാകുമത്രേ. അതുകൊണ്ടാകാം അതുവേണ്ടെന്നു വയ്ക്കാൻ  ഒരു വകുപ്പും തയ്യാറല്ലത്രേ. നഗരത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വീഥിയെ ഈ ഘോഷയാത്ര കൊണ്ട് നിറച്ചും , മറ്റു റോഡുകളെ ട്രാഫിക്കിൽ കുരു ക്കി ശ്വാസം മുട്ടിച്ചും,  എന്റിനിങ്ങനെ ഒരു പരിപാടി?  വിദേശടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളെ  ആകര്ഷിക്കാനാണത്രെ.
പോലീസ് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചുപറിയും തിരക്കിലെ പീഡനവും നന്നേ കുറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നത് മാത്രം  ഒരാശ്വാസം.

സർക്കാർ കാര്യം മുറപോലെ എന്നല്ലേ.  എന്ത്  ചെയ്യാം? നടത്തി നടത്തി  ഇത് മുറയായിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഇനി മോചനമില്ല.
മദ്യവില്പനയിലും ഈയോണം  തകർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
മലയാളനാട് മദ്യപ്രദേശ്  ആയി മാറി (റ്റി)ക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ  ഇതിൽ അത്ഭുതവും വേണ്ട.; വ്യസനം കൊള്ളുന്നതിൽ  അർത്ഥവും ഇല്ല.


സർക്കാർ വിക്രിയ ഒന്നുമല്ലാത്ത ഓണത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടുകാര്യങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് എന്നും വിഷമവും വിയോജിപ്പും തോന്നിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഒന്ന്, മഹാബലിക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്ന രൂപത്തെ കുറിച്ചാണ്. കൊമ്പൻ മീശയും കുടവയറും ഉള്ള കോമാളി  രൂപം! അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്തെ കുറിച്ചു
കേൾക്കുന്നതൊന്നുമായി  പൊരുത്തപ്പെടാത്ത രൂപം.
എന്തായാലും ,ആ രൂപത്തിലല്ലാതെ, ആകാര സൗഷ്ടവത്തോടെ
മഹാബലിയെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ  തിരുവിതാങ്കോർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡ് മുന്നോട്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. അത് നന്നായി. അത് അംഗീകരിക്കാനും  അതിന്  പ്രചാരണം കൊടുക്കാനും കേരളീയർ തയ്യാറാകുമോ, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും കലാകാരന്മാരും, കലയുടെ പേരിൽ വൈകൃതങ്ങളെ  താലോലിക്കുന്നവരും.

രണ്ടാമത്തെ കാര്യം,  ഓണത്തിന്റെ പുലികളിയാണ്. തൃസൂരിൽ  വലിയ തോതിലും , നാടൊട്ടുക്ക്  ചിതറിയും നടക്കുന്ന ഈ കളിയുടെ  കേമത്തം എന്തെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാകുന്നില്ല.
തനതു സംസ്കാരം  എന്നാകും ഉത്തരം. കരി യും, കരിമരുന്നു പുലിയും ഇല്ലാതെ പൂരവും ഓണവും  പാടില്ലെന്നാണോ?

ഇത്രയും ഓണത്തിനെപ്പറ്റി പൊതുവായി തോന്നിയത്.

കാർമേഘങ്ങൾ മൂടിയ ആകാശത്തു നാലഞ്ചു തുമ്പപ്പൂക്കളെ
നന്നായി കാണാനായില്ല. പാരിന്റെ  മാറത്തു  നിലാവിന്റെ
പൂമെത്ത പായയും കണ്ടില്ല.
  എന്നാൽ തകർത്തുപെയ്ത  മഴയുടെ സംഗീതത്തിലും മന്ദമന്ദം
തഴുകിയ  നിദ്രയുടെ  തലോടലിലും  ഈ ഓണം ഹൃദ്യമായി.

കാണിച്ചത് നിർദ്ദയമായ  അനാസ്ഥയും , മനപ്പൂർവം ചെയ്തതാണെങ്കിൽ , കൊടും ക്രൂരതയും  ആണ്.

    പ്രവേശന യോഗ്യതയിലും രീതിയിലും പുലർത്തേണ്ട  അക്കാഡമിക്  നീതി
നിലനിര്ത്തുകയും, അതേസമയം സ്വാശ്രയ കോളേജുകൾ നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകാനുള്ള  വരുമാനം സാധ്യമാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള
മാർഗം , നീ റ്റ് പരീക്ഷയിലെ റാങ്കും ഫീസും ആനുപാതികമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുത്തി

സ്വാശ്രയ കോളേജിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ സീറ്റിന്റെ ഫീസ് അൻപതിനായിരം രൂപയും  തുടർന്നുള്ള സീറ്റുകൾക്ക് ഒരു ശതമാനം( അഞ്ഞൂറ് രൂപ വീതം) കൂടുതൽ ഫീസ്  നിജപ്പെടുത്തുകയും  ചെയ്യാം . രണ്ടാമത്തെ സീറ്റിന്റെ ഫീസ്  അന്പത്തിനായിരത്തി അഞ്ഞൂറ് , മൂന്നാമത്തത്തിന്റെ ഫീസ്  അൻപത്തിഒരായിരം  ഇങ്ങനെ നിര്ണയിക്കാം.. ഉയർന്ന റാങ്കു നേടുന്ന ആയിരം കുട്ടികൾക്ക്  അഞ്ചു ലക്ഷത്തിനു  താഴെയുള്ള  വാർഷിക  ഫീസിൽ പഠിക്കാനാകും . എൻ ആർ ഐ സീറ്റുകളും ഫീസ് സ്വജന്യത്തിനു അർഹതയുള്ള  സീറ്റുകളും ഒഴിച്ച് ബാക്കി സീറ്റുകളിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ ഫീസ് നിർണയിച്ചാൽ അക്കാഡമിക് നീതിയും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളോടുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക 
 നീതിയും സംയോജിപ്പിക്കാം.. ന്യായവും യുക്തവുമായ തുക സമാഹരിക്കാനായി  അടിസ്ഥാന ഫീസ്( ആദ്യത്തെ സീറ്റിൻറെ  ഫീസ് ) ഒരു ലക്ഷമാക്കാം ; ഫീസ് വർധന  മുക്കാൽ ശതമാനമാക്കാം.ഇങ്ങനെ നിർണയിക്കുന്ന ഫീസ്  സർക്കാർ തന്നെ സമാഹരിക്കുകയും , കോളേജുകളുടെ ചിലവിന്റെ എസ്റ്റിമേറ്റ് അനുസരിച്ചു വിതരണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യാം. അ ധികം വരുന്ന തുക മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തെ  മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള പൊതുവായ പദ്ധതികൾക്കുപയോഗിക്കാം..

സർക്കാരിലേക്കും , ഫീസ് നിർണയസമിതിക്കും  അയച്ചുകൊടുത്ത  ഈ നിർദേശം പരിഗണിച്ചോ, പരി ശോധിച്ചോ  എന്നൊന്നും വ്യക്തമല്ല.. ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഫീസ് നിർണയ സമിതിയും ഉദ്യോഗപ്രവരരും, നിർദേശത്തിലെ  ശതമാന കണക്കൊക്കെ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ വിരണ്ടതാകാം. കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ അക്കൗണ്ടിംഗ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച്  ഏതാനും മണിക്കൂറുകൾ  കൊണ്ട് ഈ ഫീസ് പട്ടിക  തയാറാക്കാവുന്നതേയുള്ളു.

അതൊന്നും നടന്നില്ല.എന്നതല്ല,, ലാഭക്കൊതിയന്മാരായ    മാനേജ്മെന്റുകൾ ഒരുക്കിയ കൃത്രിമക്കെണിയിൽ വീണു വിചിത്രവും വികലവും ആയ  ഉത്തരവുകൾ ഒന്നിന് പുറകെ ഒന്നായി ഇറക്കി , ഒടുവിൽ കോടതിയുടെ മുൻപിൽ  പരിഹാസ്യവും നിസ്സഹായതയുമായി നിന്ന് , സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ   സ്വാശ്രയ മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തെ  ദുരന്തമാക്കി .

അനാസ്ഥ കൊണ്ടാണോ, അഴിമതി കൊണ്ടാണോ ഈ ദുസ്ഥിതി ഉണ്ടായത് എന്ന് പരിശോധിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലേ?  ആദ്യത്തേതാണെങ്കിൽ , എന്തിനിങ്ങനെ ഒരു  ഫീസ് നിർണയ സമിതിയും  ഉദ്യോഗകേസരിമാരും ? രണ്ടാമത്തേതാണെങ്കിൽ, കേരളത്തിലെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസമേഖലയിലെ എക്കാലത്തെയും ഏറ്റവും കൊടിയ ചതിയുടെയും  ക്രൂരതയുടെ യും  പട്ടികയിൽ ഇതിനെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കാം.

വർഷങ്ങൾ ഹോമിച്ചു പതിച്ചു  ഉയർന്ന  റാങ്ക് നേടിയ  കുട്ടികളെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കുമ്പോൾ വിഷമം തോന്നുന്നു .ധനസ്ഥിതിയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹം ഇല്ലാത്തതു കൊണ്ടുമാത്രം മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിൽ നിന്ന്  പുറന്തള്ളപ്പെട്ടു പോകാനുള്ള നിർഭാഗ്യം അവർക്കുണ്ടാകാതെ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ എന്ത് ചെയ്യാനാകും? ചുമതലപ്പെട്ടവർ, അധികാരമുള്ളവർ  ഇനിയെങ്കിലും  ഒന്ന് ഉണർന്നു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നു.

The day, 22nd August 2017 deserves to be hailed as a golden day in the history of Indian Democracy.

Run  on the strength and substrate of a Constitution, that presents and prescribes the Nation as a SECULAR REPUBLIC, the opportunistic political system and a complacent Judiciary permitted,. rather even sustained an absurd anti-human provision of MUTHALAQ, to subdue and suppress our Muslim sisters. The sinister aspect of this draconian civil provision may not be apparent well and appreciated much by those of us living in Kerala. It has always been a pestering painful thought, how come such a anti-human facilty can co-exist, along with our secular rhetoric, for all right-thinking Indians..

The five muslim sisters and  an organization for the cause of Muslim women, who brought the issue
 to the Supreme Court and fought it relentlessly need to be complimented by all civilized citizens of the Country. The Government of India that concurred with the perception of the  petitioners, and the Supreme Court  that nullified the violation of civil rights of a segment of population
contained in this out-dated system, of questionable origin  deserves the gratitude of the Nation.

The fact that  two judges, including  the Chief Justice of India did not perceive the unconstitutionality of Muthalaq, according to the letter of the Constitution, also had sensed its human right violation, makes it a consensus unified judgement, albeit a majority  judgement technically.

Let us hope and wish, all right thinking citizens, across all religious , communal and ideological spectra perceive the national and human significance of this historical judgement, and work together for a genuine secular democratic country.

The ugly mess in medical admissions this year should be corrected with sense and insight. The academic justice in admissions
Brought in by Supreme Court is a precious . Milestone in Medical Education. But it has to be complemented by financial justice. Students with high NEET Rank should be granted a lower fee, and through an rank-based incremental fee necessary funds for running private medical colleges  anbe raised.
I submitted a workable propoസാല്  for such a fee structure to the Health Department, Fee Regulatory Committee.
No one seems to have read it leave alone given it a due consideration.
My physical and fiscal circumstances do not per filing a  PIL, which is badly needed.
Let some wisdom prevail on the administrators and the  courts.at least to the extent of considering suggestions from medical teachers, who spent several decades in tea hing.

നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന സാധാരണ  പോലീസുകാർ
 . അവിടെ  നിന്ന് നീതി  തേടിയെത്തി  കഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന സാധാരണ ജനം
ചെറിയ ഒരു ഇതിവൃത്തം,  ഒതുക്കവും ഒഴുക്കുമുള്ള ആവിഷ്കാരം.
സംവിധായകനായ ദിലീഷ് പോത്തൻ  അഭിനന്ദനം അർഹിക്കുന്നു.
എന്നാൽ ഈ ചിത്രം  ഏറ്റവും ഹൃദ്യമാകുന്നതും പ്രത്യാശ പകരുന്നതും.
അഭിനയമികവിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലാണ്.അതിലും സംവിധായകന്റെ.
പങ്ക്‌ വ്യക്തമായിക്കാണാം.
ഫഹദ് ഫാസീലിന്റെ  പ്രകടനം മികച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നു.
കണ്ണ് കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഭാവാഭിനയത്തിൽ ഈ നടനെ  വെല്ലാൻ
 മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ ഇന്ന്  ആരും  ഉണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നുന്നില്ല .
ഒപ്പം തന്നെ ശരീര ഭാഷയിലും.ഫഹദ് ഉയർന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നു.
24 കാതം നോർത്ത് , മഹേഷിന്റെ പ്രതികാരം എന്നിവയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പം
ഈ ചിത്രവും  കൂടി നോക്കുമ്പോൾ  അഭിനയത്തിനുള്ള  ദേശീയ

അശേഷം സംശയമില്ല..പ്രവചനം എന്നൊന്നും പരിഹസിക്കില്ലെങ്കിൽ
ഒരു കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളട്ടെ- നല്ല ഉൾക്കനമുള്ള കഥാപാത്രത്തെയും
മികച്ച സംവിധായകനെയും കിട്ടുകയാണെങ്കിൽ , മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ
തിലകൻ ഒഴിച്ചിട്ടുപോയ സ്ഥാനത്തു അലൻസിയർ എത്തിപ്പെടും.
ഈ ചിത്രം നൽകുന്ന ഏറ്റവും സന്തോഷം തരുന്ന പ്രത്യാശയും
ഇതാണ് എന്ന് പറയാൻ  അനുവദിക്കുക.

ചെറിയ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾക്ക് പോലും കിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന മിഴിവ് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് സംവിധായകന്റെ മികവും കൂടിയാണ്.

ചുരുക്കത്തിൽ, തൊണ്ടിമുതൽ . മലയാളസിനിമയിലെ  നാളെയ്ക്കുള്ള. മുതൽക്കൂട്ടിൻറെ  സാധ്യത പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രമാണ്.

Kerala High Court's interim order, directing Indian Athletic Federation and the Union Health Ministryto  get P.U.Chithra enrolled into the  World Athletic Champion ship Meet at London, comes as a relief and joy to all who love  sports and  believe in  the Rule of Law in the Country. There is no scope for any eyewash on the injustice done to this humble poor girl, who  reached the level of  Asian Champion in 1500 Mtrs. The  manipulations, exploitations and favouritism  prevailing in the realm of  Sports in  India is a disgraceful injustice, which needs to be  investigated urgently and rectified effectively.

The Hon'ble High Court of Kerala deserves deep appreciation for acting so swift and sharp to restore justice to this athlete with no God father or support from  authorities in Sports Administration.
However, there is a possibility that the Court Order may not fructfy, and P U Chithra may not get  enrolled in the London meet, on ground of expiry of time for enrollment or  some other technical grounds.

If this happens, it is a MAJOR MISFORTUNE not only for the individual athlete, but the whole country. With time frames and deadlines  slated so narrowly, it is an ongoing ploy to eliminate any corrective intervention in team selection, including judicial ones. It amounts to  a travesty of Justice
by denying  natural justice and human right of the candidate, subjected to this injustice.
If P.U.Chithra can not be  enrolled and taken to participate in the London meet, despite the Court Order, it is fair and just that she is paid  a compensation of Rs.  Two Crores,( equal to the reward paid to each individual cricketeer after the recent win).

 .Hope the High Court will lookinto this aspect, to uphold rule of Law and extend justice to this  excellant, unfortunate athlette, who  is the victim of  callousness and conspiracy in selection process.

അതും. മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ. ഡയറക്ടർ.ആയിരുന്ന. ഒരാൾ ഇങ്ങനെ .

ആതുര.ചികിത്സാമേഖലയുടെ. ചൈതന്യം വീണ്ടെടുക്കാൻ  സർവീസ്. നഴ്സിങ്ങിന്റെ. അന്തസ്സ് വര്ധിക്കണം . അന്തസ്സോടെ. ഡോക്ടർമാരുമായുള്ള
സഹകരണവും ബന്ധവും പുലർത്താൻ നഴ്സിന്.കഴിയണം.നല്ല നിലവാരവും. പ്രവർത്തനശൈലിയുമുള്ള നഴ്സിന്.പഠിക്കാനുള്ള അവസരം നൽകി. നല്ലൊരു.ഡോക്ടർ. ആകാൻ. പരിഗണന.നൽകണം.
ഇതൊരു. ബോധ്യം., വർഷങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട്.മനസ്സിൽ. ഉറച്ച. ബോധ്യം  തന്നെയാണ്.
അതുകൊണ്ടു.ഈ സന്ദർഭത്തിൽ ഇത് പറയാതിരിക്കാൻ  വയ്യ.

നഴ്സുമാരുടെ സമരം അവസാനിച്ചതിൽ വളരെ ആശ്വാസം തോന്നുന്നു. ആവശ്ആഎം ന്യായമല്ല എന്നു  ആർക്കും പറയാനാകില്ല, സമരത്തിന്റെ സമയം ശരിയായില്ല എന്നു പലർക്കും തോന്നി. 

അതല്ല ഇനി  പ്രധാന കാര്യം. നഴ്സുമാരുടെ കഴിവും മനോഭാവവും മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തറൻ നടപടികൾ ഉണ്ടാകണം. എങ്ങനെ, ആർ ചെയ്യും.

നല്ല ക്ലിനിക്കൽ പരിശീലനം കിട്ടാത്ത നഴ്‌സിനെ നിയമിക്കരുത്. നിയമിച്ചുപോയവരെ തുടർ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ തത്തിലൂടെ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തനം.

നഴ്സിംഗ് അധ്യാപകർ അതിനു മുൻകൈ എടുക്കണം. സർവീസ് നഴ്സുമാരുമായി നല്ല ബന്ധം പുലർത്താൻ അവർ  ശ്രമിക്കണം.

മറിച്ചും. അതിനുള്ള പ്രവർത്തന സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ നടപ്പാക്കണം.

നഴ്സിങ് മേഖലയുടെ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട മേന്മ വീണ്ടെടുക്കണം. ഇതിൽ ഡോക്ടരമാർക്ക് വലിയ പങ്ക് വഹിക്കാനുണ്ട്., വഹിക്കാനാകും.

മുതിർന്ന ഡോക്ടർമാർ ആയ ഞങ്ങളിൽ പലർക്കും    പ്രായോഗിക കാര്യങ്ങൾ പലതും ഹൗസ് സർഗൻസി കാലത്ത്  പകർന്നു  നൽകിയത് അന്നത്തെ മുതിർന്ന നഴ്സുമാർ ആയിരുന്നു.  സിസ്റ്റര്മാര് എന്നത് വിളിപ്പേര് മാത്രമായിരുന്നില്ല. മനസ്സിലും പെരുമാറ്റത്തിലും അവർ

 അത് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.

ഡോക്ടർമാറം നഴ്സുമാരും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധത്തിന്റെ ഊഷ്മളത  ക്ലിനിക്കൽ മേഖലയുടെ കാമ്പും കരുത്തും ചയതന്യവും ആയിരുന്നു. അത്  കുറേയെങ്കിലും വീണ്ടെടുക്കാൻ ആകുമോ.

മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിനുള്ളിലെ ഇടുങ്ങിയ കവലയിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന അമ്മയും കുഞ്ഞും പ്രതിമ യുടെ മുന്നിൽ  ആരാധനാ സമുച്ചയം ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന സാഹചര്യം ഒട്ടുമിക്കവരെയും ആശങ്ക പ്പെടുത്തി. നടക്കാനും വണ്ടിയോടിക്കാനും പിന്നെ അധികം സ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടാകി ല്ല. രോഗാതുരരായ
കുട്ടികളെയും ഗർഭിണികളെയും ആശുപത്രിയിൽ വേഗം എത്തിക്കാൻ അത് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ഠിക്കും.
ഇത് മനസ്സിലാക്കി തീരുമാനം എടുത്ത പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ അഭിനന്ദനാം അർഹിക്കുന്നു.

കഴിഞ്ഞൊരു ദിവസം  ഫേസ്ബുക്കിലും പത്രത്തിന്റെ  ഒരു മോമൂലയിലും കണ്ട ഒരു വാർത്ത ആശങ്കപ്പെടുത്തി.
തിരുവനന്തപുരം  മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ്  വളപ്പിലെ  എസ്  എ  ടി  യുടെ മുൻപിലെ  അമ്മയും കുഞ്ഞും  പ്രതിമയുടെ  മുൻപിൽ  മെഴുകുതിരികൾ
കത്തിച്ചുവച്ച്  പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്ന  കുറേപ്പേർ. ചികിത്സായിൽ  കഴിയുന്ന കുഞ്ഞു
സുഖം പ്രാപിക്കാനുള്ള പ്രാര്ത്ഥ്ന .
ഈ സന്ദര്ഭത്തിലെ  പ്രാർത്ഥനയെ ആർക്ക്  കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്താനാകും ?
പ്രശ്‍നം അതല്ല.. അതിനു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത സ്ഥലം, രീതി, തുടർന്നുണ്ടാകാവുന്ന
കാര്യങ്ങൾ - ഇവയാണ് ആശങ്കക്ക്  കാരണം.
മെഴുകുതിരി പോലെ , തിരിവിളക്കുകളും  അവിടെ  നിറയാം. മണികൾ
മുഴങ്ങാം. കുന്തിരിക്കവും സാമ്പ്രാണിയും  മണം  പറത്താം.ഓം, ആമേൻ,
യ ഇല്ലാഹി  ഒക്കെ  മുഴങ്ങാം. ഇതൊക്കെയുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ, ഇന്ന്  കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ആൾക്കൂട്ടം  പതിവാകാം.
ഏറ്റവും  തിരക്കുള്ള , ഇടുങ്ങിയ റോഡിൻറെ  വലിയൊരുഭാഗം നിറഞ്ഞുനിക്കുന്ന ഈ  ഭീമാകാര പ്രതിമക്ക്  മുന്നിൽ  ഗതാഗതം  നന്നെ
തടസ്സപ്പെടും.
രണ്ടു പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്ക് മുമ്പുതന്നെ  ഇത്രയും വലിയൊരു പ്രതിമ
അവിടെ വയ്ക്കുന്നതിലെ അപാകത ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
അത് സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന യാത്രാ തടസ്സങ്ങളുമായി ജനം പൊരുത്തപ്പെട്ട്
കഴിയുന്നു. എന്നാൽ  അവിടൊരു  ആരാധനാ സങ്കേതം ആയാൽ  കാര്യം
കഷ്ടമാകും.
എസ് എ ടി യുടെ  മുൻപിൽ  അമ്മയും കുഞ്ഞും  നല്ലൊരു  പ്രതീകം
തന്നെയാണ്. പക്ഷെ  അതൊരു ഭംഗിയുള്ള  ചെറിയ മാർബിൾ  പ്രതിമയായി , റോഡിന്റെയും നടപ്പാതയുടെയും  സ്ഥലം അപഹരിക്കാതെ  വയ്ക്കണം.
ഇപ്പോൾ  ഇരിക്കുന്ന കൂറ്റൻ  പ്രതിമയെ  എസ് എ ടിക്കും  പുതിയ
മറ്റേർണിറ്റി  ബ്ലോക്കിനും  ഇടയിൽ  ഗ്രൗണ്ടിന്റെ  അരികിൽ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കാം.

The ongoing agitation by the  nurses in private hospitals needs to be noted and
responded by the doctor community in Kerala. Who can deny the important role
 played by nurses in hospitals, their  strain of work and  sacrifices on personal life.
They deserve a reasonable salary and service benefits.
 However, there is another side to it. Almost every profession in our State has
deteriorated in skills, standards, attitude and quality of work. But this deterioration
is more alarming and unfortunate in the nursing profession. Many of them trained in nursing schools and colleges outside Kerala are miserable in their skills and standards of work. Those trained in Kerala are also fast gravitating into this level.
The Nursing Teachers do not have ay role or involvement in  nursing services of the hospitals where they are supposedly training students.  Several years back in  Medical College Hospital, Trivandrum
my  friend as the Principal and myself as  a senior Clinical  Head of the Department, made some  sincere efforts to  involve nursing college  teachers and students in the patient care programmes.
Despite  good interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships it  did not succeed much. There seems a  superiority complex among the nursing college faculty and students towards service nurses.
There may be better co-ordination and interaction among the educational and hospital service sectorof nursing in some institutions; but in large majority they are  divergent sectors

Doctors' organizations  should not choose to ignore the  plight of nurses with low salary
and their legitimate claim. The matter needs support from all right-thinking doctors and hospital owners

 At the same time a system has to evolve to upgrade the skills,  standards and attitude of nursing staff in  all hospitals. UNA and INA should take up this also along with Nursing outfits in Medical Education, Health Services .

The maltreatment and difficulties faced by Sri T.P.Senkumar when he returned to the DGP post with a landmark Supreme Court judgement, was imaginable to me, as I had faced the same predicament 15 years back as Director of Medical Education in the hands of then UDF Government. My lawful legitimate promotion was initially blocked by the LDF Government of Nayanar, for the sake of a Professor who took M.D 11years after me and had a seniority position far below mine.
At a certain stage of the legal battle, in the Supreme Court, the same
high-cost stalwart lawyers, who opposed Sri. Senkumar's petition were fielded against me by the State Government and the Respondent. However, with an unambiguous judgement in favour of me, the succeeding UDF Government had no option but to promote me as DME. However, with various obstacles my posting was delayed , A second legal battle to expedite my promotion, unlawfully blocked was beyond my means at that time, and I lost about 20 months as DME.
Compelled to post me as DME, I was subjected to many difficulties by the caucus of the Health Minister, steered by political doyens of UDF, and a characterless incompetent Health Secretary and his cronies. Still I could initiate some meaningful steps and projects in 11 months' tenure as DME, thanks to a non-interfering and non-corrupt Chief Minister, and his Principal Secretary, who was a former Health Secretary, and whom I would rate as one of the finest IAS Officers, Kerala has ever had..
Still the going was tough
The torpido and blockade of my promotion was possibly motivated by monetary or other gratifications,. Being non-political and the DME post being less powerful and less in public gaze( as compared to DGP),, the injustice done to me and my struggle and suffering in service, were less in public domain.
The crux of the matter is there is no difference between LDF and UDF Governments, in harassing and persecuting officers who challenge their high-handed unjust intentions and actions.
However, as he exits, hundreds of thousands of discerning justice-loving people in Kerala, would keep Sri. T.P. Senkumar as one of the most honest, upright and humanistic police officers we have ever had..

As expected, the self financing medical management and State Government have started a market level bargain regarding Annual Fee for all the 3000 plus MBBS seats. The former wants to fix 15 Lakhs, the Government bargains for lowering it. We can almost be sure it would be fixed at 10 Lakhs, or atleast 8 Lakhs.
A detailed proposal linking fee with NEET rank was submitted by me to the Government. It would offer Rs.50500 as Annual Fee for the student with highest NEET rank in Private Medical College, and 1percent increase for each subsequent seat. The student with next rank will have to pay Rs 51000. The third seat 51500 , and so on. The 1000th seat will have a fee of 5 Lakhs, 2000th will have 10 Lakhs, 3000th will have 15 Lakhs.
This combines academic justice with socioeconomic justice, but at the same time generates sufficient fund for running private Medical Colleges. Up to 1000 students with higher NEET rank will get opportunity to study with less than 5 Lakhs per year.
SC/ST students and other students eligible for Fee concession may be given that. The incremental fee as detailed above may be computed for other seats.
This would enable to collect Rs.150 to 200 crores.( depending on the total seats from which fee can be collected)
The fee should be collected by the  Regulatory Committee or authorized agency at the time of counselling itself and kept. Each College should be paid the annual share of Fee, based on the projected expenditure statement, based on previous years' expenditure, adjusted as per norms after a fair scrutiny.
All this is possible with a compact Accounts& Finance Unit, attached to the Regulatory Committee.
The baseline fee for the first seat and the incremental rate can be fixed realistically.
Any excess fund, can be used for  general schemes for improvement of Medical Education.
There is no need for a category of Merit and Management seats, with uniform selection criteria and selection process. No issue of cross subsidy of one category to other is involved.
I submitted this to the office of CM Health Minister, Regulatory Committee, Health Secretary. Got an Acknowledgement from CM's Office, but no one seems to be interested in considering such a proposal/scheme linking Rank and Fee for MBBS, which could have become a national model.
Instead, the market style bargain( called high level discussion) started with Management.
Who  in  Government and high  Political Echelons  and Officialdom, designated/ decorated Medical or Higher Education Experts/ Advisers or Judiciary is genuinely interested in academic justice and quality aspects of Medical Education.?

Oommen chandy and Pinarayi both proved their competence as Chief Ministers in getting Metro materialized . The latter should show his mettle in expediting and starting the twin Light Metros.

Let alcohol be eliminated from our homes where children grow up and open society and then, if deemed necessary, be made available only in designated dedicated drinking places for safe responsible drinking.
If the Government has genuine concern for future generations and genuine courage for responsible governance, this is what should be done

The revised liquor policy of LDF Government released on 8th June 2017, yesterday can have far reaching impact on Kerala society.
I have always felt liquor sale outlets are more of a danger to society than pubs and bars, and hence should have been closed first. The availability of alcoholic beverages should be confined to dedicated bars,pubs or taverns  where it can be regulated rationally. Alcohol should not have a place in homes where our children grow, nor in the open society where drunken Behavior can cause inconvenience, distress or not uncommonly even disaster.
There fore, I was not much enthused with closure of bars by previous Government.
I felt indiscriminate ubiquitous drinking would spread, spurious liquor will reign when bars alone are closed. Th ere may not be any  substantial benefit to society.
Let me convey this, my assumptions were wrong. Closure of bars reduced traffic accidents, reduced adolescent fresh drinkers, and above all attenuated the circles of mafia operations around them.
Needless to say the proclaimed abstention from alcoholism, is unworkable without a regulation of access to alcohol.
If the Government has any sincerity in that proclamation, let it close all sale outlets  first and then permit bars pubs etc for authorized ,accountable and regulated drinking.

Bar owners, hoteliers and may be some hospitals too stand to benefit from the reversal of bar closure order. More orthopedic, surgical and neurosurgical cases, thanks to the imminent tide of RTA
In the long run more acute and chronic liver disease. More domestic violence, battered children with broken mind.
Short term fiscal advantage through this liberalized liquor policy is nothing but signing up on behalf of society for its devastation. Who can deny Alcoholism the status of most serious sociomedical menace Pollution of air, water and earth through neglect of waste management is the only other claimant for this status.
A Democratic Government should not forget the children growing up in its jurisdiction, while trying to appease the alcohol consumer and alcohol lobby.
Children are the inevitable casualties in an alcohol-flourishing society.

The act

of the young lady at trivandrum trying to bobbit a god man, though gruesome is a culmination of anger and helplessness of several years. The anger and helplessness are as much toward our Law Enforcement system and Judiciary, which is sluggish and often impotent to punish such lingaasurans.
Many of us wished for a Bobbit provision in IPC, at the time of Nirbhaya, Swomya, Jisha .etc. though we know it is not possible.
How can our police and courts be put on a fast and faultless track? How can priests and self-styled Gurus can be effectively deterred from such exploitation?
The Surgical strike of the girl should alert our Law makers and Law keepers
